The COVID-19 Trust Recession

COVID-19 produced two pandemics. One spread through lungs. The other spread through institutions. The first overwhelmed hospitals. The second weakened confidence in the people and organizations responsible for protecting the public health. Emergency declarations may have expired, but this second pandemic has not and continues to shape how many people view vaccines, regulatory agencies, physicians, universities, and even the scientific method itself.
