Hydroxychloroquine is said to be effective in combating those infected with the Wuhan coronavirus. It's an anti-malarial drug. If successful, and it looks like it is—then this will be a good stopgap until we get a vaccine made. It will also greatly accelerate the timeframe in which all of us can return to our daily routines. This virus doesn't nearly have the numbers of infected as the seasonal flu, nor does it have the body bag numbers, but we could get there if people do not practice good hygiene, wash their hands, avoid touching their face, and adhere to the social distancing guidelines. The latter is essential to controlling the spread.
