White House: Abandon Pelosi Drug Plan, Alter Senate Bill

The White House wants bipartisan buy-in on drug pricing legislation but is willing to sacrifice a key Democratic provision in a Senate Finance Committee plan to firm up Republican support for a compromise, domestic policy adviser Joe Grogan told POLITICO.
