Doctors at Johns Hopkins Medicine said Monday that they plan to share their method of providing care to surgical patients with 750 U.S. hospitals in an effort to improve quality and reduce patient harm.

Hopkins has long been a leader in the development and dissemination of check lists and other means of reducing medical errors, a leading cause of death in hospitals.
