Our Bodies Are Ours: Privacy Rights and Personal Stem Cells

Abortion rights and personal stem cells should both be protected by the right to privacy. Relevant law has extended the right to privacy to a woman's right to choose because of the intimate nature of the decision, the intrusion upon bodily integrity, and the physical and emotional detriment to the woman. Personal stem cell patients have substantially similar concerns.  In both cases, the federal government has attempted to limit access to important medical interventions.
