Senators Call for Action on Drug Price "Gouging"

A bipartisan report released on Wednesday focuses on actions cases in which a company acquires a drug that is no longer patent-protected and does not have any competitors, and then jacks up its price. The report is the result of a months-long investigation by the Senate Aging Committee, led by Sens. Susan Collins (R-Maine) and Claire McCaskill (D-Mo.).
