White, Rural Addicts Lack HIV Preventive Needle Exchange Programs

Needle-sharing by opiate addicts is placing rural white communities at much greater risk of new HIV infections than ever before, and the United States doesn't have enough syringe programs in place to address the problem, according to a federal report released Tuesday.
