Dear Mr. Trump,
Now that you are the nominee, it's time to issue more specific health care policy proposals. The Affordable Care Act remains widely unpopular. Yet Democrats – including President Barack Obama, in a recent article in the Journal of the American Medical Association, and Hillary Clinton – want to add a public option that would inexorably lead to a complete federal health care takeover. Repealing Obamacare is not enough. Voters will want to know the alternative. House Republicans recently proposed a good plan, but most voters won't read it and will find it too dense and hard to follow. A concise statement of principles would certainly help to frame any policy you propose.
