Co-op Failure a 'Nightmare' for S.C. Hospital

About 4,500 Medical University of South Carolina patients currently covered by Consumers’ Choice Health Plan need to pick a new policy by Tuesday to remain insured on Jan. 1.

A looming deadline isn’t their only problem. All but the most expensive Obamacare policies do not cover services next year at MUSC. Consumers’ Choice has included MUSC doctors and facilities in-network since 2014, but the plan recently announced it will not sell 2016 insurance policies.
