One of the untold elements of the rapid decay underway in the Obamacare exchanges is the massive shift toward the Medicaid managed care companies, and away from the traditional commercial insurers like UnitedHealth Group and Aetna.
This week, UnitedHealth lowered its earnings outlook, blaming the worsening financial performance of its Obamacare plans. The company warned that it might stop offering insurance plans to people through the public exchanges. It could pull out of Obamacare, perhaps entirely.
