Clinton's Revealing Veterans Health Gaffe

I generally give politicians wide berth on verbal gaffes, particularly those running for big offices, such as president. They are basically talking constantly for a living and everything they say is flyspecked by opponents and gotcha journalists. What politicians say when given time to reflect and polish their language is usually more revealing of how they would act if elected.

But there are exceptions, when a verbal gaffe reveals a fundamental truth the candidate would prefer be bottled up. I think Hillary Clinton’s assertion that Republicans are exaggerating the problems in the Veterans Health Administration was such an exception.
