The report, “Uncompensated Care in New Mexico After the Affordable Care Act,” states that as the rate of uninsured adults declined — from 18 percent in 2013 to 13 percent this year — “uncompensated care has diminished significantly.”
“All indications are that uncompensated care costs will continue to decline, but they will not disappear altogether,” according to the LFC analysis.
