Price & Mulvaney: CBO Insurance Coverage Estimates Are Wrong, Our Plan Will Insure More People

|

Health and Human Services Secretary Tom Price and WH budget director Mick Mulvaney speak to media outside the White House about the American Health Care Act, saying that the Congressional Budget Office estimate that is will drastically increase the number of people without health insurance are "wrong."

"The fact of the matter is they are going to be able to buy a coverage plan that they want," Price said.

"The CBO score assumes that if you are on Medicaid today, you will chose to be off Medicaid when the mandate goes away. Does that make sense to anybody? The plan doesn't get rid of the Medicaid expansion," budget director Mulvaney said.
