Rand Paul Will Not Support Ryan's Obamacare Plan: "Insurance Companies Will Go Bankrupt Under Partial Repeal"

Senator Rand Paul (Sens. Lee and Cruz with him) are planning not to support House Speaker Paul Ryan's plan to alter Obamacare. They call Ryan's plan "Obamacare lite" and believe Obamacare should be repealed completely and immediately.

A few weeks ago, Paul was urging Congressional leaders to do the repeal and the replace on the same day.

"I've told the president this, I've told the vice president this, I've told everybody at the White House this," Paul said. "You want to get it done, vote on what we already voted on, and vote on replacement separately, and we can have a debate over what goes in the replacement. But repeal needs to be complete repeal, because I think if you do partial repeal the situation will get worse."

"Insurance companies will go bankrupt under partial repeal," he warned.
